Our Counsellors

Ethi-Call counsellors are a group of professionals with broad experience in a variety of fields who have trained as ethics counsellors. These counsellors volunteer their time to the Centre.

The ethics counselling team currently comprises Cynthia Nadai, Jane Potter, Tim Potter, Elizabeth Riley, Andy Small and Philip Wright.

Training of an Ethics Counsellor

The counsellors were trained by Suzanne (Suzi) Ross MAPsS, former Director of Consulting, Counselling, Education and Accreditation and currently Consulting Fellow to St James Ethics Centre.

The training comprises a rigorous eighty hour program.

The unique dilemma-based counselling method utlilised by the Centre's Ethi-Call service incorporates various disciplines - philosophy, psychology, socio-analysis and management.

Prospective counsellors selected for training require a certain life and work experience. Counsellor training also builds on and utilises the experience and expertise gained by the counsellors during their careers.
