As a fully independent not-for-profit organisation St James Ethics Centre relies heavily upon membership and other forms of support from the private sector in order to continue its work in facilitating and encouraging people and organisations to live an 'examined life'.

St James Ethics Centre receives donations from individuals and organisations, as well as significant in-kind support. Additional income is generated by undertaking Ethics Consulting, Ethics Training and speaking engagements.
