About membership
St James Ethics Centre is a member-based organisation and we encourage individuals and organisations to undertake membership and join a group of like-minded people seeking to bring about a world in which people feel free to include the ethical dimension in their daily lives.
As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, the Ethics Centre relies heavily upon memberships, donations and other forms of support. By becoming a member you can be assured that you will be assisting the Centre to continue its important work.

Benefits of membership
In many cases, a decision to join any organisation is based on an assessment of the benefits of membership. Unusually perhaps, St James Ethics Centre offers its members little more than an opportunity to help make the world a better place. We ask for your support in this endeavour.
We make two promises to those who join us.
First, we will continue to do our very best to realise our vision:
We seek to bring about a world in which people feel free to include the ethical dimension in their daily lives.
Second, we will offer as many member benefits as our limited resources allow. So, the more members, the greater our capacity to extend our range of services.
Current benefits of individual membership include:
- The knowledge that you are helping to support a not-for-profit organisation that is working with others to help make this a more ethical world. Read more about why our work matters.
- Four issues per annum of our newsletter, Living Ethics, which includes articles about ethical issues as discussed by academics, professionals and community leaders. Corporate members receive multiple copies of each newsletter.
- You will be invited to attend any events which may be hosted or organised by the Ethics Centre, with a discount on any attendance fees when possible.
- Access to members' only content on our website, with the ability to easily update your membership details.
- You will receive a 15% discount when purchasing Centre publications through the Members' Corner area of the website.
Individual membership
Membership is available for individuals at the following costs:
- Individual membership: AU$71.50 per annum
- Student or concession: AU$33.00 per annum
Corporate membership
Membership is available to businesses and other organisations at the following costs:
- Less than 50 employees: AU$550 per annum
- Less than 100 employees: AU$1,100 per annum
- More than 100 employees: AU$2,750 per annum
