Ethics Centre publications

The Ethics Centre has produced a wide variety of publications since its inception. Many of these publications are available for purchase in hard copy and others are freely available on this website.

Our quarterly newsletter: Living Ethics

Since 1991 the Centre has published its quarterly newsletter, Living Ethics (originally City Ethics), which is available in print to all members of St James Ethics Centre and subscribers.

Lectures & symposia

A number of symposia and lectures have been hosted by the Ethics Centre over the years, all of which have been published.

Hard Cases book

St James Ethics Centre's Executive Director, Dr Simon Longstaff, is the author of a book, Hard Cases, Tough Choices. The book was published in 1997 and can also be purchased from the Centre.

Other publications

Various other publications are also produced by the Ethics Centre. For instance, in recent years we have been creating our own festive season card with the intention of promoting ethical reflection. Most years an online version of this card is also created. View all of our Ethics Cartoons, including our festive season cards.

In 2005 the Ethics Centre also published a series of free postcards to promote its work.
