A green business and life outside the workplace
At your work you have a bin for general waste and one for recycling. One night you stay back at work and notice that the cleaner is emptying both bins into the general waste. You explain to him that you would like the recyclable rubbish to be recycled and he agrees. A week later you find out that he has ignored you and continued to place the recyclable materials in the general waste. You want to go to your cleaner’s boss, but also know that the cleaner is on his last chance and is the sole bread winner for his two young children.
While you are concerned with the well being of the cleaner’s family, you have previously worked hard to make your workplace a greener operation and know that if the most basic green policy is not being followed then the other environmental initiatives that you have set up are for nothing.
