There was a case of a "house mother" in her thirites and probably attractive, working in an elite boys school in the paper last week who had intercourse with several of the boys in her care. The youngest was eleven.
The story was not given a lot of coverage as apparently politicians and such send their kids to this school and must be protected from exposure.

The case is in stark contrast to the case of the male pedophile Dennis Ferguson who is not blessed with an attractive countenance, and is hunted by the media whenever he goes out. He was also driven out of his accomodation by neighbours.
And this all after he had served his jail sentence.
Why the difference in treatment? Most sexual abuse is committed by family members and step parents any way and that information is usually kept well and truly behind closed doors .

"Why the difference in treatment?"

You've already said why the disparity in treatment exists. Women get preferential treatment in the courts and in society.
