You find that you can examine people's expenses claims and you see that your boss is cheating for a hundred or so dollars per month: Would you a) report him if you wouldn't face any consequences; or b) report him, consequences be damned, or c) forget about it?

Hi.

I would report him. Prefrably anonomysly. I'd try to envoke whistle blower tipe laws so to speek (even though it proably dosn't apply hear).

Proof is the big thing though. I wouldn't say anything untill I new it was fraud / theft.

A lot depends on the size ofthe firm; if its's a small business and $100 a month could threaten the viability of the firm then something ought to be done.

If it's the Defence Department then $100 a month is such peanuts that it's not worth the bother.

If you find you can examine other peoples expense reports, by violating company policy and hacking in to a system, or just waltzing in to a poorly secured system, when you aren't supposed to, then you definitely should report your boss so you both can be disciplined.
