FAQs - Ethics Advocacy

Learn more about our Ethics Advocacy service.

The Ethics Centre's Advocacy service seeks to promote and encourage thought and discussion on the ethical dimension of life and how it relates to specific issues of immediate interest and concern in daily life.

We encourage active discussion amongst the widest possible audience by engaging in the following activities, amongst many others:

  • Writing articles for and commenting in the media
  • Holding ethics-related events, such as the successful Intelligence Squared Australia (IQ2) live debates series.
  • Speaking at events run by other organisations
  • Serving on Boards and Committees
  • Publishing a newsletter, **Living Ethics, and other publications
  • Publishing and maintaining this website

While Ethics Centre staff do speak at events, we do not necessarily participate in all events we are invited to. Our decisions about events are based on our capacity and the nature of the event.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements and the event details.

However, we do also have **subscriptions only to Living Ethics available.

The annual Intelligence Squared (IQ2) series of live debates is a project of St James Ethics Centre. Learn more about the debates on our Intelligence Squared website, including forthcoming events, how you can attend and watch previous debates online.
